"Back in 1993 when Peter & I set up our Estate Agency, we initially shared offices with Hugh Davies. At that time his bookkeeper Jean was upstairs and available to help out with our small accounts needs. As they grew to become much larger and more complex we retained Jean to continue with our accounts. HDA grew to know our business as well as we do and have been very helpful as a sounding board and source of advice over the years.
It’s been good to have someone who is not part of the business keeping the books. They are able to maintain a professional separation and are not influenced by any of our staff. We believe it is no more expensive to outsource this work than to employee an accounts assistant and as HDA have several members of accounting staff there is the huge added benefit of continual cover. Alongside this we get good management reports on a monthly basis.
